The organising committee has secured an excellent choice of accommodation options, all within a few minutes walk from the conference venue.
Most of the hotel rates are room only and breakfast is not included in the tariff. Some hotels and serviced apartments have full cooking facilities suitable for in-room preparation of light meals.
Check-in time is usually 1400hrs and as most international connecting flights arrive mid morning, delegates wanting to guarantee early check-in to their hotel room will be required to reserve and pay for the previous night. However most hotels are very accommodating and will try to allocate rooms for international guests as soon as available and will securely store luggage for guests until their room is available.
The exchange rate NZ$ vs US$ is currently subject to considerable fluctuation. As at 17 January 2008 the rate is NZ$1.00 = US$0.77.
Delegates planning to bring families to the conference are welcome to contact the Conference Secretary Susan Adams for specific advice on accommodation options particularly suitable for families.
